I like the cut of your jib!

I'm not laughing. My canoe is still upside down at the trailer park. Still waiting for warm weather and the ground to dry up. I would love to hear details on the manufacture of your sail with tarp material. How did you stitch it, what kind of thread, types of seams, etc. Also it appears your lee boards and rudder are made from regular generic construction ply? If so how are you planning to finish them. I have come across a supply of GoodOneSide 3/4" construction ply. (that is my kitchen floor! Who would use that for a sub floor for linoleum? Even worse it is nailed down with 3-1/2" ardrox (spiral) nails. [grrrr!] They think canoe sailors are addled. Do you think that would be OK to use at least for a prototype.

I have similar idea for a rudder, any possibility of a closer detail photo.

Nice looking rig! I've always been a fan of home-made/do-it-yourself stuff.

Any chance you'd share your sail dimensions on the forum?

My next step is to build a rudder and your picture gave me some good ideas.
Thanks for sharing.

Okay, so I will work on getting some additional photos...I though I had some better photos, but I guess not.

I will try to dig up those dimensions.
The sail does seems to work pretty well, and it was easy to make using a cheap tarp and double sided carpet tape, with 1/2" electrical conduit for the boom and top spar.
