It's been slow here, but spring has arrived, ice is out or going out, and we'll be sailing very soon! In the meantime, here is a list of events with canoe sailing happening that I'll be participating in this spring and summer - hope to see some you at them!
John Gardner Small Craft Workshop - Mystic Seaport, June 7-8
Maine Canoe Symposium - Bridgton, ME, June 7-8 (meet Benson Gray and his twin-sailed Old Town here!)
No-Octane Regatta, Tupper Lake, NY, June 14 (hosted by Adirondack Museum)
WCHA Annual Assembly, Trent University, Peterborough, ONT, July 16-20
Antique Boat Show, Clayton, NY, August 1-3
Every Wednesday Night at Antique Boat Museum in Clayton, NY is Row, Paddle, and Sail night, including sailing canoes. Free!
And finally, the ABM has added a Bronze Casting Class to take place in November. Need sailing canoe hardware? Bring your patterns or use ours... contact me for more information.
