Now that I'm in NC, I find it's been too cold for me to sail, especially when there's a likely chance of getting wet, and worse-yet--dunked.

So, any recommendations for sailing clothes that will survive a crash?

Have you thought to try white water paddling clothing?, if you have the money get a "dry suit" , friends that have them all love them.
Going a cheaper rout, the farmer john style wet suit keeps the arm area free. http://www.immersionresearch.com/
This link is to manufacturer that I've had great success with.
Here in Minnesota, the sailing season starts as soon as the ice is of the lakes.

I haven't really looked into pricey gear. It's starting to warm up now, so I'll have more time to prep for next winter!
