Page 3 of 3 Commendation From the Commodore Dear Ed the editor, It is great to see this new venture and I commend you for it. Hopefully your initiative and our organsisation can both help promote the cause of canoesailing. Good luck and fair winds, Keith Morris (OCSG Commodore) Cheers, Keith! I'm happy to see the UK's Open Canoe Sailing Group come onboard. What with the new-found environmental awarness and cost of fuels, I hope groups like yours and ACA Sailing can promote canoe sailing for a broader public. Let us know how we can help these efforts! Cruising Sailing Canoes Hi Ed. Congratulations on your effort! As a proponent of modern, cruising sailing canoes, I'd like to submit something---just to show the sailing canoe world is not just racing, replicas, & reinvention. ~Hugh Horton Thank you, Hugh! I'd be happy to see your angle on cruising canoes. Since this is a magazine for ALL types of sailing canoes and kayaks, I welcome every perspective. Thanks for writing! Batwing Sails As batwing sails are said to be good is it possible to have a article dedicated to them, and if it's ok, a list of suppliers and dare I say prices? I would like to consider a batwing for one of my Aerius 2s. I will try and send you photos of how I mounted my Pacific Action sail on my Yukon. I bought the sail from Tundrasails in Yellowknife Canada. ~John Allsop Sure John! There seem to be quite a few different styles within that group and I'm sure there's a reader (or a contributing editor) who would like to submit an article about them. Another Satisfied Reader <Whew> Hi Ed, First off congratulations on getting a very nice first issue out. I quite enjoyed reading it and I'm impressed with the range and quality of the articles. ~Tom Taylor Thank you, Tom! I hope others will see this as an opportunity to send in their own stories, articles and photos!
