UK Vote of Confidence

Dear Editor, How stimulating to read from fellow canoe sailing afficionados! I travel extensively with my canoe and have met many fellow sailors around the UK but did not realise what a truly 'International' pursuit this had become. Your magazine is very informative and it is a pleasure for this non techy to be able to navigate through it. I hope some fellow Brits will jump onboard and submit some articles as we are a fairly salty bunch with some fun tales and some wonderful vintage craft. Best ~ E. Ramsbottom. Great Eccleston. UK.

Thanks for the kind words from the UK! The sport itself was launched by Warrington Baden-Powel, the founder of the Sea Scouts, a fellow Brit. Don't forget to see our forum and share some of that salt in your veins, E!

Hello Ed, from Germany!A really good magazine  for me. Im the loneliest sailing canoeist in estern GER. and: excuse my timber rotten spelling in English. I'm an owner of my self build woodcore 17´Prospector with ourigged ama on portside with 8 m² sail at main an mizzen.( See the photos TIGERAUGE + TIGERZAHN on yahoo-groups ) never seen before  in GER. More photos, info an ideas in your forum. Much fun for all of us. Greetings, ~Sancho

Hello to the loneliest canoe sailor in eastern Germany! We look forward to an article and photos from you, and don't forget to use the new forum, The Rudder!

WoodenBoat Forumite

Hello and thanks. I followed the link from the WoodenBoat Forum. This is great, really beautifully laid out! I'm halfway through Todd Bradshaw's article. This might actually get me in a canoe again .....it's been a while ! Regards, ~ Peter Sibley

Thanks, Peter! NIce to see you here. My canoe restoration thread on the WB forum gave me the impetus to start Canoe Sailing Magazine. I'm happy you like it, now get back in that canoe!
