Yasushi Nakagawa from Higashi-murayama, Japan comes on board

 Yasushi

Yasushi Nakagawa signed on as member number 200 on May 19th, 2008. Doing so, he has helped fill out the international ranks of canoe sailors and builders who have joined the Canoe Sailing Magazine crew. Yasushi sent a note telling a us a little about his canoe:

"From September 2003, I have been building a canoe, which is called as 15’ Bob’s special model, made of red pine strip, and then launched on March 2005. After that, I have been interested in canoe sailing because I can enjoy canoe in both case lull and wind. So I have built up my canoe sailing rig by taking one year and then launched in July 2006."

Along with the note, he has provided us a very good article and photos that follows him building his sailing rig, replete with Dutch, leaf-style leeboards. Look for his article very soon.

From the readers and staff of Canoe Sailing Magazine: Welcome aboard, Yasushi!
