Page 4 of 4 Now it is time to relax with friends.
Don and his saran wrap boat. Don is a professional wood worker and built this boat in four days. It seems to work, since it got him to Pavilion and back to Chokoloskee. He even caught some fish along the way. Note: Don does not use Saran Wrap. He uses a heavy clear plastic available at Home Depot.
 Day Seven: Chokoloskee landing.
A good place to end a trip to Chokoloskee is City Seafood Restaurant in Everglades City. Lou, Bill, my Grandson, Stevie, and his parents, Marilyn and my Son Scott.
Both Bill and my Adventure Islands performed flawlessly during this trip, EXCEPT for the annoying hull water leak. Depending on sail time, the boats would regularly gather ½ to 2 gal of water in the hull. Our modus operendi, when reaching our camp, was to land on the beach with the bow higher than the stern. Take some of the gear out of the stern, and then pump out the stern and finish with a sponge. Only gear in the stern was ever in any significant water. Things I wanted to be dry were placed in the bow. The bow hatch does not leak. Since most of the weight is in the stern, leaked water did not reach the bow area. The fittings in the stern are the most likely source of the leak. Keith (aka Chekika)
