‘Breeze’, a Modern Sailing Canoe |

Page 2 of 2 Breeze is 16 feet long, 38 inches beam, 23 inches deep forward and 14 inches amidship. She has two watertight bulkheads fitted with circular doors set up on rubber packing. There is plenty of room between the bulkheads for a long man to sleep and for the duffle of the average short trip. The fore and aft compartments are available for storage on longer trips. Mr. Marwin, who uses her for day sailing both alone and with a feminine passenger or two, has ballasted her with two 25-pound bags of shot placed under the floor in about the position of the sponge hole, and says she is very steady with this addition. The smaller sail plan shown by the dotted line is the one used for cruising. Breeze requires little room, either to build or store, and if any of our readers care to try their hand at a building job, Yachting will be glad to furnish any other information desired—the plans, pictures and all necessary data.
