Hi All,
Few months ago I've started building project of Beth - sailing canoe designed by Michael Storer - an Australian boat designer.
Home page of Beth:

and there are my photos of building this boat:

Materials described in plans are: 6 mm and 4 mm okoume plywood and spruce timbers 19/19 mm and 19/25 mm (and few others). In my country okoume plywood is a bit expensive and available in one distributor - transport from him is expensive too. I've used woterproof birch plywood wich is haevier (!!!) but stronger and pine timbers (heavier and stronger too - they are cheaper and available in my area.
Sails - in plans dimensioned drawings for sailmakers are. But in my area professional sailmakers didn't want to make them (two very small lug sails - sailmakers prefer large bermudian...). For this reason I consider to make polytarp sails by myself. I needed additional info and dimensions for it - Michael Storer get me all of them on his forum.
...
Today I want to join sides to bottom and see my boat in real 3D :-)
